There are many so-called search engine optimization (SEO) ‘experts’ who are really just after your money. They would have you believe that knowledge of how search engines work is so tremendously difficult to understand that you really must hire them. However, before you invest any money by paying someone to optimize your website, first consider just what search engine marketing is.

The real goal with search engine marketing is to create fresh traffic for your website or blog. It is a lot easier to accomplish than it was previously. The reason is that more and more websites are using blogs to acquire fresh content online. As long as you target individual keyword phrases, the blogging platform will build your web pages for you.

Certainly you have to put the content online, but you are really targeting search engines by marketing a specific keyword phrase within the title, and within the introduction and closing of your blog article. This is known as search engine bait and is an excellent way to create a marketing plan using the search engines.

Along these lines, you need to bookmark your blog posts at the premier social directories and that way create greater search engine attraction. Now you have taken your search engine marketing efforts beyond your individual blog and are reaching out to the directories that are spidered consistently, sometimes daily, by the top search engines.

Another thing you can do to practice search engine marketing is to purchase PPC (Pay Per Click) advertising. This form of advertising has been around for several years now, but today Google Adwords still totally dominates the market.

You can quickly set up a campaign on Google and be on the first page within a matter of minutes. A word of caution though: take your time to learn the ins and outs of Google Adwords before you invest your money with them. Surprisingly, more campaigns with them today lose money than are actually profitable.

You can also purchase less expensive traffic on various other search engines including Yahoo and MSN. There are many other areas of PPC advertising too, including 7Search, Kanoodle, Bidvertiser, and many more.

One final thing we want to mention in regards to search engine marketing is submitting your website to search engines and directories. You can get organic listings for your website and create backlinks by utilizing this method of marketing to search engines.

If you have the funds to invest you can utilize ready-made applications like Search Engine Blaster, which professes to automatically complete the whole process and effect submissions for you. This can be a big time-saver as there are literally thousands of search engines and directories to submit to.

Using ClickBank

ClickBank is an online digital product retailer and offers a double opportunity for you to build a secondary source of income. With hardly any costs involved either in promoting or through the burden of employees and allied expenses, ClickBank is a pure profit proposition for your home business. It is one of the better tools available for use in helping to produce income to expand your business.

There are two ways to make money out of Clickbank. You can either sell products produced by other people or you can produce your own digital products and get others to sell them for you.

ClickBank Affiliates

The first method (i.e. becoming a ClickBank affiliate) is the most common way of earning money with Clickbank. There are several things to consider. First, Clickbank accepts almost any product, regardless of how mediocre it may be or how poorly its sales page is designed. You need to check out the ‘gravity’ of each product to make sure it sells, as well as its sales page to be sure of decent conversions.

First of all be certain that there arent too many products in the area that you will be selling. Once this is done, all you need to do is select a product that is in a class that pleases you and gives you confidence that you will be able to sell it effectively. For example, if you decide to try and market an ebook on “how to make money on the Internet” or “how to train your dog”, you will not find it easy since there are too many people who have been in this field for a long time and they will certainly have an enormous head start over you. However there are a lot of relatively new and more precise areas of possibility that don’t have nearly as much competition and which are available to you.

Create a website or blog for the product(s) or niche and use article marketing, PPC, and video marketing to catapult your online business to success, all without ever creating an actual, unique product.

ClickBank Merchants

Merchants make money on ClickBank by creating their own product (e.g. a ‘how-to’ guide on some popular topic), placing it in a captivating website, and listing it in Clickbank’s marketplace. If they offer a good enough incentive commission (say 50%), they can then sit back and let affiliates take over the promotion side of things.  They passively receive the rest of the income in the mail.

Generating personal products is especially beneficial when you are in a position to sell the product through partners and gain total profits from their efforts. The only disadvantage is that it takes time to create it and it’s also subject to being rejected by associates for superior products.

Pros And Cons

Being a partner is flexible since you can put on the market products that you are not so familiar with or skilled in and then change products if you realize that the area you are in is not making money for you. Being a merchant requires a lot more initial work but is rewarding once you have come up with a positive product for which there is sufficient demand.

You have the choice of doing either or both methods. Either way you stand to make good profits.

6. An Internet Marketing Strategy

Internet marketing is more than just about driving customers to SEO websites. It is also about making sure that the websites have something to say and answer all of the questions for the visitors. The Future Of Wireless Technology

Foreword By The Editor

Wireless technology, especially in relation to computer networking and cellphones, is a hot topic right now so it should be no surprise to hear that we welcome the following excellent article on the subject by Ken Snow. As he quite rightly says, wireless technology, due to a number of recent developments, will most likely make tremendous advances over the next few years.

Practical Applications

Wireless technology is gaining ground because of its low cost and ease-of-use. We all are familiar with radio and phones that use wireless technology. There are many more possible practical applications for wireless and the breakthrough developments happening in this field are set to revolutionize the future.

Wireless Networking

Wireless networking means less maintenance and less cost. The advent of radio has put a stop to the use of telephones that use wires to transmit signals. The new age cell phones based on wireless technology have made it possible for us to reach anyone anytime. Wireless technology translates into a lower cost since it obviates the laying down of cables and wires and regular maintenance. The other area where a significant impact has been felt is in the networking of computers. The usual scenario of having a wired Internet connection is all set to change. Wireless connections are soon going to be cheaper than the wired alternative and will also be easier to use. This will result in a lot of people shifting to the wireless option, when available.

Microwave Access

Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access (WiMAX) will be the next generation of wireless, an improvement over the existing wireless networking that uses a standard called 802.11. The good news is that you will not need to change your equipment, as it will run on the existing hardware. Though scientists are still working on it, it is poised to take the world by storm. The first WiMAX equipment was launched at the end of 2005.

Its biggest advantage will be that it will cover a wide area, which could be as much as up to 50 kilometers! The term Local Area Network (LAN) will be replaced by Metropolitan Area Network (MAN), which would cover the whole city! It will also offer higher speeds of up to an astounding 10MB per second, coupled with improved security. All you would need to do is buy a subscription, plug into a network and you are ready to go!

The Latest Technology

Bluetooth technology is becoming a part of our lives now. Apart from replacing your USB port, it has the potential of replacing all the wires in your equipment, except for the power cord! Imagine the convenience of staying in a house that does not have wires, where Bluetooth connects all the equipment. It would mean fewer hassles in cleaning the house coupled with freedom from the fear of tripping over wires!

It wouldn’t be surprising if by the end of the next decade wireless technology would becomes commonplace. It sounds convenient and should also be lesser in cost. Given its potential, we all seem to have a much easier life, with a faster and safer access to the world!
