Throw in words like autoresponder, opt-in, conversion, permission marketing, bounce handling, white or black lists, calls to action, personalization, subject lines, click-thru rates, targeting, unique clicks, hard or soft bounces... along with a gazillion other terms, and it's easy to see why so many people don't ever get to the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.
